5 Ways to Boost Your Immunity

 

Keeping a positive attitude on a daily basis is much easier when you are feeling wonderful!   Check out these 5 things to boost your body’s immunity to help not only prevent disease, but fight it off sooner.

 

Inactivity:  Being inactive slows down your metabolism and circulation and in turn, slows down the rate you absorb immunity-boosting nutrients or expels harmful things within the body.

 

Avoid White Flour:  White flour can impair the T cells and B cells in your body which help to fight off illness.

 

Lack of Sleep: If your body does not get enough sleep, it cannot produce the required amount of melatonin in your body needed to make enough white blood cells to fight off bacteria.

 

Eating too much Protein:  Eating too much protein (especially from animal sources) causes an increase in IGF1 hormone which will increase aging and hinder your immune system.  Keep your animal protein intake down to 10% of your diet.

 

High Stress Levels:  Chronic stress increases cortisol levels which reduces the level of other important hormones.  When your body’s hormone levels are imbalanced, your body cannot fight off disease quickly.
